Can this make fire?

Today we are going to be researching about how to make fire. Next week we are going to have a fire-fighter talking to us about fire and why it's important we know how to stop it. However, you need to know how to start a fire first.

  1. Go to google.com
  2. Type in "how to make fire" and only go to .org websites (we talked about this last week)
  3. Pick out a fews ways to make fire by rubbing objects together.
  4.  Post them below on this blog post (Make sure you are logged into your google account)
  5. Go home and talk to your parents about the ways you picked.
  6. Bring in a couple of items that you think can make fire by rubbing them together.

Next week we will all get together outside and see what will and wont make fire! You have the next 20 minutes to research. Then I'd like you to post your ideas. If you get done with everything before lunch, start thinking about a couple of questions you like to ask the fighter

Being a great citizen

What does it take to be a good citizen? Who is a good citizen?

Pick a historical or ordinary citizen and answer the questions below.
  1. Why did you think this person is a good citizen?
  2. How does his person use their  "benefits of being a U.S. citizen"
  3. If you were this person, would you participate in a local civic activity

Now I want you to look on Google Images from a image of the "citizen" you chose. Then post the image of your choosing. ( If you choose a ordinary citizen, pick a person you feel represents them) Make sure you give credit to the image by posting the website and the owner of copy rights

Sign into you google accounts and post your work on this blog post. I would like you to respond to two classmates by asking them a question about their citizen they picked. Make sure you use proper writing and uphold your on internet citizen.
